Not known to take myself seriously, it is difficult, for me, to be succinct in portraying my character. Suffice it to say, I am a lucky buggar. I was born in 1953 on the day East Anglia flooded. I am Aquarian, a water carrier, so blame me. My professional life saw me self-educate and prosper before retiring, aged 54. Two wonderful children and 5 grandchildren is enough fun for anyone. I am deeply in love with my second wife, Cathy, with whom I have shared a long, adventurous retirement. Our long distant walks include Wainwright’s Coast to Coast, Land’s End to John O’Groats and New Zealand’s Abel Tasman. We travelled the world, often using Home Exchanges, often months at a time. We live on the Essex/Suffolk border in a village of 90. We are rural folk.
