Shelly Siskind

Shelly Siskind is a published author, mental health advocate and passionate community leader.

She is a fervent writer and poet. Having always been inspired by the innocence and wonder of children, Shelly wrote many stories and poems that captured the magic moments of adventure and discovery as seen through young, innocent eyes. Most of which were taken from the precious memories of growing, learning and ‘seeing’ the wonders of the world through the lenses of her own seven grandkids.

These stories have now blossomed into the adorable and adventurous Magnificent Mimi, the proud personification and loving combination of so many of the endearing qualities of the sweet little human muses that she holds so dear. 

Talented Illustrator Joe Brooks has lovingly transformed 8-year-old Mimi into a curious and courageous 3-dimensional character, no longer living within the pages of her journals.

Shelly lives in Canada, with husband Bob, and they share in the joy and wonder of their 3 children, their spouses and their 7 delightful grandchildren.
