Hi everyone, my name is Katherine B Brown. I am the seventh of ten siblings. I have six children, sixteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. I was raised in the small community of Lincoln Heights outside of Cincinnati, Ohio which was predominately black and a homey community where everyone knew each other. At the age of eleven, we relocated to Covington Kentucky where I attended a predominately white school. It was different but eventually I had many friends. I fit in both places comfortably.
Later I graduated from Withrow High School and afterwards worked for several years in the secretarial field. I relocated to Killeen, Texas, several years later returning to Cincinnati. In 1987 I became a born-again Christian. I returned to school and received an associate degree in Business Administration.
At present, I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am retired from many years in the Administrative Office area of work. I am a minister and stay busy working at my church as secretary for the House Of Prayer in Elwood, Ohio where I am a member. I am also the editor of our churches, children's, teens. and adult booklets, call Writing To Reach.
My hobbies are reading, writing, most craft activities and sewing. I like to travel seeing new places and meeting new people. I love playing Scrabble and spoiling my grandchildren.
I was introduced to the wonders of reading at the age of eleven by my mother. She handed me a book called Trixie Beldon Mysteries and said "You can read a book and never leave your room, but see the world." She was correct. Out of my hunger for reading a passion for writing stirred in me and as thoughts ignited in my mind I began to put them on paper. When I am not working, I am either reading, writing or at church services. I write faith-based books to encourage and to let everyone know that there is a God that saves.
