Valandra

Valandra is a professor with a joint appointment in the School of Social Work and African and African American Studies (AAST) at the University of Arkansas. She completed her Ph.D. and Master of Social Work as a child welfare scholar at the University of Minnesota and her MBA and bachelor’s in business administration at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Her scholarship focuses on community engagement, African American oral history, and intergenerational resilience and trauma.
