Karen Harmening

As a bereaved mother, former nurse, and chaplain, Karen intimately understands grief and suffering and the many complex emotions and struggles that accompany them. As a Christian teacher, writer, and blogger she is passionate about caring for hurting and grieving people.

Karen resides in Huntsville, Alabama, with her husband, Scott. They serve with While We're Waiting, a national ministry for bereaved parents, facilitating the North Alabama support group and hosting weekend retreats for bereaved parents. They also serve in their local church developing ministries for those struggling through various challenging life circumstances.
