Ashley L. Beale

Ashley L. Beale is the co-author of Democracy and Globalization: Anger, Fear, and Hope, which was published by Routledge in 2020 and named one of the best economics books of the year by the Financial Times. She served as a vice president of corporate affairs at BlackRock Inc. from 2020 to 2024 and has worked on two U.S. presidential campaigns. In 2020, she served on the paid media team for President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s presidential campaign, and in 2016, she served as chief of staff to the directors of paid media and opinion research on Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign. Ms. Beale received a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and an M.A. in German and European Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. In the fall, she will be attending Harvard Kennedy School to pursue an M.P.A.
