Peter C. Miller

Peter C. Miller was born in Mora, Minnesota, on 26 February 1967, the last of six children. He lived in South Minneapolis until age 10, when his father was transferred to Atlanta, GA. Peter and his family moved to East Cobb County, where he lived his formative years under a canopy of tall pine trees and lots of woods to hike through. He attended Lassiter High School when it first opened and graduated in 1985. While in high school, Peter took an interest in writing, but the scope of his imagination took time to develop. He attended the University of Georgia, where his creativity began to blossom. He created the history of his world while going on long walks around Athens, especially at the Oconee Hill Cemetery. The cemetery later became the Holy City of Ver Nooy in the Wizard War Saga. While finishing his undergraduate work at UGA, he met his future and current wife. He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to go to the University of Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music, where he got a master's degree in French horn performance and got married. He and his wife returned to Athens, where he returned to UGA and got another master's degree. He started teaching music in 1995, and it was there that he finally began the first of what would later become seven books. His students encouraged him to write, giving him feedback on what he had written before he left that job and moved back to Georgia, where he still resides. As his two children grew to adulthood, his daughter wanted him to finish the series. Peter was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation in 2022 after having gotten COVID in December of 2021. This caused Peter a great deal of stress at work and home. He was later diagnosed with chronic asthma and COPD as a result of COVID. He began to compose music during this period, especially after his father's death in October of 2018. The creation of the music helped him finish his books because they were tied together within his mind.

Throughout his life, Peter was interested in history, mainly Celtic mythology and later Finnish epics. He was also interested in past civilizations beyond the average annals of history. His music and writing melded together and later helped create the final three books in the series. It took three decades to write the first four books, but it only took three months to write the last three books. Once the creative force was there to see the ending, it was just sitting down and typing it out.

Peter also likes to collect crystals and antiques and is an avid gardener. With over 200 roses growing in his backyard, he finds time nearly every day to sit among the roses or work in his vegetable garden. He has since started another series of books based on the paranormal. Two of them are nearly finished and will be released very soon.
