esso is a beloved nickname given to the author, shawnessy, many moons ago by a friend. there’s a tiny, fierce princess residing inside of her that wears her heart like a full body tattoo, not just a sleeve. hailing from the midwest, life & experience have taken her all over so she feels more like a child of the globe. she is loving, passionate & strong in quiet & bold ways. she sees face & heart shapes everywhere & has an ardent affection for the (&) ampersand. she’s getting to know herself again & again, because she’s finally figured out this being human is all about cycles, growth & reinvention. a garden of you—& the new versions, awaiting inside the matryoshka doll to uncover & bloom. she loves iced coffee in all seasons & doesn’t care who’s watching while she stops to take pictures of tiny caterpillars, the veins of a leaf or a 3 millionth photo of the sky, always the sky—changing in seconds—like us.
