Lily Lane

Lily Lane is an educator, a mother, a grandmother, and an author of delightful picture books. She is excited to bring the values that her children, grandchildren, and classroom students have received to other children. Her children’s book series, Tales of Prairie Dog Town, aims to bring entertaining and engaging stories with significant messages to young children. Lily was raised in South Florida and received her degree from California State University, Los Angeles. Her teaching resume includes kindergarten through second grade in the Los Angeles Unified School District & Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Lily has lived in Florida, California, North Carolina, and Washington and resides in Colorado. The inspiration for her book series came from watching the interactions of the endearing prairie dogs of Colorado, as they go about their daily routines.
