Andrew van Vuuren

Andrew van Vuuren, along with the rest of his immediate family, was radically saved in early 2001. The LORD used an old family friend to bring them back to Port Elizabeth to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with Andrew’s elder brother, Trevor. After that, salvation spread throughout the entire family.

God then led the family to join a local charismatic church in the city and partner with two overseas ministries, where they were trained in the Word of God and taught how to use their faith.

Over the years, Andrew spent time studying the Word of God in specific areas. As his relationship with his Heavenly Father grew, so did his faith in God's provision. All of this was vital preparation for what was to come.

In 2016, Andrew was faced with a serious health condition: his eyes had deteriorated so severely that he became lightheaded from exposure to anything emitting artificial light, such as fluorescent and LED lights, computer monitors, televisions, and mobile phones. He experienced light-headedness and nausea, and it became increasingly difficult to maintain his balance. Eventually, Andrew was forced to resign from his full-time job as his condition worsened. Without access to his computer or mobile phone, he became housebound and could no longer walk into shops due to the lighting.

The medical industry was unable to help, as they couldn’t even diagnose the problem. Faced with a choice, Andrew could either accept his condition and live out the rest of his life feeling terrible and confined to his home, or he could stand in faith and trust God for the healing of his eyes. Reflecting on the many times he had seen God’s goodness manifest in his life, the choice was clear: Andrew chose to believe God for his healing.

The journey of faith he embarked on set his life on a completely different path. That victory not only brought healing but also opened his heart even more to the integrity of God’s precious Word.

The books Andrew has written stem from years of studying the Word and practicing faith in his own life. With a genuine heart for people, Andrew wrote these books to simplify the process of faith, so others can experience God’s goodness in their own lives.
