Kat Regina

Kat Regina, born Katherine Skiermont in Orlando, Florida, grew up in central Florida and Houston, Texas. Her love of the arts began at an early age, with writing becoming her primary outlet by the 5th grade. A high school English teacher encouraged her to submit a poem to an online forum, which led to a few National and International publications in poetry compilations. This helped in feeding the fire and dream. It was always an aspiration of Kat’s to one day publish a book of her own. Poetry was always her main form of expression, but after the birth of her daughter, she felt a strong urge and inspiration to write a children’s book. With that, Kat wrote and published her first 7 children’s books, all containing a similar theme, draw your own adventure stories about animals. The first 6 books were all inspired by actual pets, giving them a special tribute for these dear members of the family. After the publication of her seventh, she knew it was time for her poetry to be shared. Kat compiled a collection of recent unnamed works, with the addition of her own black and white photographs included sporadically throughout the book. She continues to work on new pieces in her home in South Florida for future publications, with the full intention to continue to “let it flow”.
