Derek Charles Goodwin

I live in Leicester, I have done from birth. I started life on Clyde Street, just off Wharf Street in central Leicester, it was not the best of housing and such, but was a really good strong Community. Schooling was a little sparodic and I often went to work with my father, by 14 I was often doing a man's work in construction. It has been a good life journey so far, the places, things and countries I have visited could only be read about in books by previous generations. I have lived many lives in many ways in my almost 60 years, I was something of an adventurer as a young man and lived great times. I married my soul mate, Rachel, and we travelled the world and lived many more adventures, many of which I could write a book about. I had a very poor education and was working from an extremely early age even for the time, however, my love of history and reading has opened me up to whole new worlds. I write for the love of the subject matter, I hope you love reading my work as much as I like writing it. As a footnote I think it is important to say "I am happy with my lot!"
