Nancy Beckham Capra (Author - Illustrator)

Nancy Beckham Capra graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA in Drama. Her area of expertise is technical theatre with emphasis in props construction, costuming, and scenic painting. She returned to the classroom to receive an Elementary Education certification with a specialty in English and then taught third grade for many years. Nancy teaches painting and creativity to children and women through Willow Art School.

Nancy is intrigued by the idea of color, light and movement combined with the power and authority of God. By blending these elements of beauty and truth she creates faith-based art. Seeking God's voice and wisdom along with training her eye are lifelong pursuits. Writing provides an opportunity to connect with others and leave a tangible expression of how God moves. Combining writing and art is providing a door to a larger audience to experience a spiritual life lesson.

Nancy is married to Jay and has three adult children, and seven grandchildren. Being a rancher’s daughter provided many opportunities for riding horses like Bucky. Nancy spends time exploring healing through painting with children. Creating paintings and writing stories allows Nancy to walk in her God-designed destiny.
