Rev. Bruce A. Shields, along with his wife Terri, founded The House of Faith Ministries in 2000. Shortly thereafter, he served as an elder at First Baptist Church, followed by two years as interim pastor. In 2006, after relocating his family to East Tawas, Michigan, he formally established the House of Faith Church—a Bible-based, Christ-centered ministry—where he continues to serve faithfully as Senior Pastor.
Pastor Shields is an author, having written numerous books on faith and theology, as well as over 1,000 sermon manuscripts—many of which are freely available through the House of Faith Church website.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Rev. Shields resides in Tawas and remains actively engaged in ministry leadership. He served as President of the Iosco Ministerial Association for four years, taught seminary, and continues to write extensively, and now leads as President of the Replum Institute for Christian Studies—an educational ministry dedicated to equipping believers for discipleship and service through sound biblical training.
