Tadeu Alcides Marques

Tadeu Marques was born in 1964 in Piracicaba - SP. He has lived in Barra do Bugres - MT, Cáceres - MT, Marília - SP, Presidente Prudente - SP, in all of which he had contact with indigenous people or farmers in settlements, and lived in Gaverina Terme, Italy. He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture in 1985 and a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture in 1991, in the Sugar and Alcohol Sector of the current LAN. PhD in Food Technology from the State University of Campinas in 1997, in the Faculty of Food Engineering, sugar sector. Post-Doctorate in Food Technology from the UNICAMP Research Center (CPQBA) in 1998 to 1999, resulting in the development of the SuKroMedia Multimedia Application. From 1999 to 2018, he was a lecturer at UNOESTE's Faculty of Agrarian Sciences, in the area of biomass production for bioenergy. He was a research lecturer in the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences. He was a research lecturer in the Master's/Doctoral Program in Plant Production. He was a research lecturer in the Master's Program in Environment and Regional Development (MMADRE). During this period, he published articles with a group of researchers from UNOESTE, USP, UNICAMP, UNESP, FATEC and supervised students. He also received approval for research grants from FAPESP, with TT1 and TT3 scholarships, and approval for master's-level grants from CNPq. He created the Center for Advanced Studies in Bioenergy and Sugar-Alcohol Technology. With support from UNOESTE, FAPESP and CNPq CENTEC/UNOESTE. Director of this Research Center (CENTEC) from 2010 to 2018. With regard to teaching activities in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, during the years I worked there (1991 to 2014), including the years I was away for postgraduate courses, I taught 14,462 hours of classes in undergraduate courses and 885 hours of classes in postgraduate courses. He has published 84 articles in specialized journals and 204 papers in event proceedings and conference presentations. He has published 6 book chapters and 3 books. He has taken part in 132 defense boards, 6 of which are for public examinations, 6 for doctorates, 31 for master's degrees and 178 for course conclusions. He has 5 pieces of software and 111 other items of technical production. 38 registered paintings (registers of works - website) 05 registered digital arts (registers of works - website) 66 drawings (registers of works - website) 02 books of novels (registers of works - website)Participated in 74 events in Brazil. He has supervised 18 Master's dissertations and 2 Doctoral Theses (which became a co-supervision), as well as 19 scientific initiation projects and 44 course completion projects in the areas of food science and technology, agronomy and zootechnics. He has received 21 awards and/or honors. He has worked in the sugar-energy sector and in evaluating the production and distribution of vegetable bioenergy. He has interacted with 205 collaborators in co-authoring scientific papers. He currently teaches Biofuels and Food Technology at FATEC in Piracicaba. He believes in eco-modernist ideas and defends the preservation of the environment. He has loved superhero stories since he was a child, and has always believed that the true powers lie in the biodiversity of the rainforest and in the power of human endeavor.
