Ghazanfar Iqbal

Ghazanfar Iqbal is the Head of Business Development Startups for Pakistan, Malaysia, and Singapore at Amazon Web Services (AWS). With a rich background spanning over a decade, Ghaz brings a wealth of experience in entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, and cloud computing to the forefront. Passionate about nurturing the growth of Asia's emerging and mature markets in the startup ecosystem, Ghaz plays a pivotal role at AWS.

Drawing on his extensive expertise and background, including founding a venture-backed startup and contributing to the success of the MENA region's first unicorn, Ghaz actively engages with founders, venture capitalists, incubators, accelerators, and government programs. Central to his mission is empowering startups by incorporating AWS cloud technology, thereby facilitating their scaling, innovation, and global competitiveness. Additionally, he nurtures a cooperative ecosystem that is in perfect harmony with AWS's overarching goals and objectives.

Previously, he served as the Country Head of Sales at Careem the first unicorn of MENA region and is also an Acumen Fellow. Ghaz also co-founded the first Pakistani startup "AutoSahulat" to receive funding from Antler, a global venture capital and accelerator organization. He also serves as a mentor for several organizations, such as Endeavor Pakistan, Qureos in Dubai, and Petronas Future Tech in Malaysia to name the few.
