Prior to writing "Get Smarter-Be Amazed", I spent thirty years in high tech communications. This was a relatively respectable career especially when compared to my years as a bartender, bouncer, women's shoe salesman and sewer cleaner.

I have always loved history and trivia and have a keen interest in the arts, particularly many music genres. Despite my devotion to trivia, I usually lose to my wife and three daughters in Jeopardy!.

For the past five years, I have produced a weekly blog that is now enjoyed by thousands of readers worldwide. Based on requests from many loyal readers I have decided to publish a compendium of my most popular blogs.

It's an eclectic collection that covers a wide range of topics including movies, music, sports and general trivia. There is also a humor and inspiration section that includes words of wisdom from personalities such as Henny Youngman and Nelson Mandela.
