Steven Murphy

Born in Newport, Virginia, USA (1952) - an Army brat - lived in NYNY and El Paso Texas. The Army sent us to Wurzburg Germany for two years. Dad, (Irish by birth) chose Ireland (1967) as a place to retire. Soon found ourselves in the North accompanied by all of it's troubles which I endured for five years! I went to an English college (1972) -Nonington- (dont look - it's gone now) of Physical Education in Kent, where I have lived to retirement. I taught in public and private schools, ultimately and finally in Primary schools. I have always been enthralled by people who have a story to tell and can get it clearly written on to a page. I have an almost immediate reaction to things that are good and bad .. and one bad one, was the spur for me to write this book.
