Born in India to Eurasian parents and raised in a convent before immigrating to the UK, Beth Jordan’s life has always bridged cultures. From teaching and raising a family to building a global career in textiles across China and India, her path has been one of reinvention and curiosity.
Her textile career began in the early years of the 1980's travelling solo to China to work with the huge Chinese Corporations, learning the art of 'guanxi' and what it takes to stay in business and work with the Chinese people.
Her travels led her to study Anthropology at Birkbeck College, London, and to keep journals that became Thank You For The Kiss, her debut memoir set in Cuba.
She is now writing her second memoir, which is an intimate portrait of her mother’s early life in India, the upheaval of emigration, and the quiet erasure of memory in her final years with Alzheimer’s.
Today, Beth mentors professionals on presence, wellbeing, and sustainable success — and continues to explore identity, belonging, and transformation through her writing.

Literary Titian Award Review of - Thank You for The Kiss
'Beth Jordan’s Thank You for the Kiss is a memoir that traces her journeys to Cuba, woven with heartbreak, longing, and the allure of escape. The book opens with vivid portraits of Havana’s plazas and rhythms, then slowly moves inward, unraveling her grief after a broken marriage and her mother’s death. The narrative swings between travel writing and raw confession, filled with moments of recklessness, desire, and attempts at healing through adventure and connection...
I’d say Thank You for the Kiss is best suited for readers who enjoy memoirs about loss, travel, and the messy ways we search for healing. If you’ve ever made a questionable choice in the name of love or tried to outrun your own grief, this book will strike a chord. It’s not a light read, but it’s one that you will remember.'
