Charles Sacks

Dr. Sacks is a retired psychiatrist who lives with his wife Jane Glickman in Montgomery County Maryland. They both were born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. After completing college and medical school at Ohio State University he went to Chicago for his internship and residency. After he finished his training, he served in Vietnam as a division psychiatrist and received two Bronze Stars for his service. Upon his return he obtained a job at the Washington D.C. Veterans Hospital on a Georgetown U. teaching unit and became an assistant clinical professor, a title he held for over twenty years. Eventually, he was in private practice for over thirty years until retirement December 2013. He has two grown children and has traveled the world over. His hobbies are photography ( he recently had a show of his photos ), writing( he had an essay published in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and now this book. May it provide comfort and a way forward for those in need.
