Amily D'Nas

Award-winning author Amily D'Nas was born and raised in Southern New England and now calls South Florida home. She is a member of the Authors Guild, Chicago Writers Association, and the Women's Fiction Writers Association (WFWA). Her debut novel, Beneath the Swaying Willow, was inspired by her father's struggle with PTSD after serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, her mother's steadfast love and devotion to him during the darkest of times, and by a turbulent time in United States history. Her novel has opened up discussions, increased awareness and reduced the stigma associated with mental health and suicide, particularly among our nation's veteran population. Beneath the Swaying Willow received a positive review from book reviewer Bill McCloud of the VVA Veteran- the Vietnam Veterans of America Magazine, was the 2nd place award winner of Fall 2024 BookFest literary contest in the Women's Historical Fiction category, and was a 2024 American Writing Awards Best Debut Fiction finalist. She has been a guest on the Wreaths Across America Morning Show, the Mental Health Warrior Podcast, and the Vietnam Veterans of America show Dispatches Episode 38 hosted by The VVA Veteran arts editor Marc Leepson.
