Peter Rehn

Peter Rehn is a Finnish author who spent more than two decades living in Ireland before returning to Finland.

His debut novella, The First Rung, grew from a 100-word writing competition entry into a full-length story exploring courage, identity, resilience, and the thin line between reality and imagination. He is also the author of children’s books inspired by family and the joy of discovering the world through a child’s eyes.

Peter enjoys writing stories that blend compelling characters with emotional depth, whether through fantasy, contemporary fiction, or tales for younger readers. His work often explores the choices people make when faced with uncertainty and how even the smallest first step can change everything.

When he isn’t writing, Peter enjoys spending time with his family, reading, exploring new ideas, and encouraging aspiring writers to simply begin—because every story starts with a first rung.
