I am Shelby Perry

Who am I? What an interesting question. I am many. A daughter, sister, wife, mom and a grandmother. A dreamer and one who has a solid base in reality. I temper my days with the positive belief that dreaming while you are awake is important. Life can be hard but attitude and forward moving works in my best interest.

I believe raising healthy children is the most important job we are given. Listening to them and allowing them to explore many areas of life is valuable.

While my children and I traveled from our home daily into town I was asked to tell them stories instead so listening to the radio. I would make up stories on the spare of the moment and was asked to make them books. So, we did. My children's books are on the road creations that were sources of entertainment for my children. I have given several young artists the opportunity to illustrate several of my books. Both of which I have known for most of their lives. Callie Lane and Grace Venn. Callie is established in the art world and Grace now on her way.

The books may never sell hundreds of books, but they gave my children the proof that anything can be accomplished, and they were a part of their creation.

I am also a hairstylist with many stories from behind the chair. I cannot repeat most of these stories without changing the names. So, I did. My pen name for my book for adults is J. Lame. Therefore, I am a teller of secrets without naming names!
