Renee's mother always said she would be a writer; as a child she wrote on everything - the walls, the coffee tables, even the lamp shades! Now, as a creative writer (MFA - VCFA) and a professor of children's literature and librarianship (ETSU), Renee's creative bent is inspired by her walks in the Blue Ridge and little-known points in history!
