Rea Thomson

Rea Thomson is a children’s picture book author and mother of two who writes stories about courage, imagination, family, and the joy of following a dream. Her books invite children and the adults who read with them to share adventures, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

From firefighter adventures in Fireman Luke: Hometown Hero to the determination of a young figure skater in Chasing Ice Dreams, Rea celebrates curiosity, kindness, and the courage to keep trying. Watchful Wings gently explores love and grief, while Goofy Gramps & Silly Lily brings playful rhymes and family fun to storytime.

Raised in Ashland Oregon, Rea developed a love of storytelling that continues to shape her writing. As a mother, she hopes her stories help children feel encouraged, understood, and excited to turn the next page.
