Karen Y. Corniel

Writer, poet, and multidisciplinary artist born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and based in Atlanta, GA.

Imaginative and deeply sensitive, she transforms her inner world into multiple artistic languages. Author of books across different genres, where words intertwine with musicality, silence, and imagery. Her work is known for capturing fleeting moments with profound sensitivity and minimalism, exploring depth through simplicity with an introspective and artistic tone.

She is the creator of Luna, a poetic universe that lives through her writing in lunaqueescribe, as well as YoCo Art, her visual art project. She is also the editor of Micromundos Magazine, a publication dedicated to contemporary art and creative expression.

Her work extends into sound and audiovisual storytelling through projects such as the poetic microfilm “Sì, mi chiamano Luna”, the podcasts Susurros de la Luna and Inside the Creative Mind, and collaborations in radio and commercial voice work.

Karen views art as a space for constant exploration, where word, image, and sound come together to reveal the unseen.
