Kathleen Webb

Kathy, working with her husband Scott, published The History of Silver Lake: As Told Through Its Deeds as an effort to preserve for posterity the research, interviews, and photographs that Scott and Kathy have amassed about their little slice of heaven - Silver Lake outside Lewisberry Pennsylvania.

Kathy is a bit of a genealogy and history geek - and her research skills were helpful in finding surviving family members of the early owners and influencers.

The journey took Kathy and Scott to places unexpected, including finding the Stonesifer family that was responsible for the transformation of Silver Lake from a working mill pond to a serene summer colony. They were able to draw parallels between major historical events including wars, economic upheavals, technological changes and transportation changes alongside the social and economic changes at Silver Lake.

The couple recently retired - Kathy from a career in financial services and Scott from management of large scale IT projects. They enjoy traveling, visiting their three children and 9 grandchildren across the US.
