Michael Nowlin Jr.

Asst. Overseer Bishop Michael Nowlin Jr. is a man after God’s own heart — a worshipper, leader, visionary, and author whose life and ministry inspire countless lives across generations. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he is the proud son of Michael Nowlin Sr. and Sheila Price and the middle child in his family. From an early age, Bishop Nowlin was marked by God’s hand, growing under the spiritual covering and wisdom of his grandparents, Bishop Julius Price and Evangelist Rosa Price.

He is a graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management. A true example of faith in both ministry and the marketplace, he is also a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating his own courier business.

At just 13 years old, Bishop Nowlin began following closely after Jesus, leading his congregation in worship. It was during these formative years that he discovered the life-changing truth that “everything he needed was in the presence of God.” This revelation ignited a lifelong passion to lead others into the presence of the Lord, where he believes transformation, healing, and joy are found. Affectionately nicknamed “The Worshipper,” his desire has always been to draw hearts closer to God through authentic, Spirit-led worship.

In December 2002, Bishop Nowlin moved to Savannah, GA, where he joined Abundant Life Christian Center #1 under the leadership of Dr. Paulette Jones Olasoji. It was here that his gifts were nurtured, and his calling deepened. In 2015, he was ordained as a minister and appointed Georgia Youth Minister, faithfully serving until 2019, when he was elevated to Associate Pastor. He continues to serve faithfully under the spiritual guidance and training of Dr. Paulette Olasoji, Dr. Diane Curry, Bishop Michael Young, Bishop Kemuel Brown, and his grandfather, Bishop Julius Price. In 2022, he went even higher, being ordained as Bishop & Appointed as 1 of the Covenant by Design Asst. Overseers.

Beyond ministry, Bishop Nowlin is also a prolific published author, with more than 25 titles to his name and counting. His books are designed to empower readers with wisdom and knowledge, helping them embrace their God-given identity and walk in the fullness of their potential.

He is blessed to share life and ministry with his beautiful wife, Lady Anovia Nowlin, and together they are the proud parents of five children: Sarai, Michael, James, Caleb, and Isaiah.

Bishop Nowlin’s ministry is anchored in his favorite Scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” With this revelation, he penned the empowering phrase: “Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep moving forward.” His prayer is that people everywhere will discover their true worth and potential as seen through God’s eyes, remembering the promise of 1 John 4:4: “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
