Bernie Lewis

Bernie Lewis is a writer and photographer. He has been writing short stories for over 15 years. His photographic work goes back many years before that. He holds a B.A. degree from Washington and Lee University and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Virginia. He practiced clinical psychology for 35 years in Winchester, Virginia.

Bernie lives in Virginia but owns a home in, and frequently visits, the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is there, walking the beaches, that he finds inspiration for both his writing and photography.

Previous publications include - Local Heroes: Winchester, Virginia 2000-2010, and the photo book The Long Branch You've Never Seen. Both are available from the author.

Kinnakeet Stories is the first in a series of books of short stories inspired by the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
