Martell L. Harris

Martell L. Harris is an award‑winning author and publisher from Long Beach, California, and the eldest of seven siblings. His love for storytelling began in kindergarten, where he first discovered the power of imagination and connection. Growing up in a large family taught him to navigate complex personalities and layered relationships—skills that would later become the backbone of his character‑driven fiction.

Specializing in urban fantasy, action, suspense, and dark fantasy, Harris grounds his work in lived experience. His extensive training in multiple martial arts disciplines has shaped his understanding of discipline, strategy, and conflict. These insights allow him to craft authentic, high‑stakes action sequences that feel visceral, precise, and emotionally charged.

What distinguishes Harris as a storyteller is his ability to fuse heart‑pounding action with deeply human character arcs. His novels are driven by richly developed characters whose emotional journeys are as gripping as the battles they face. His dialogue is sharp, dynamic, and purposeful—fueling tension, revealing vulnerability, and making every motivation feel personal.

His debut novel, Designed by Flaws, explores the fragile interplay between bonds, honor, and love. Through its characters, Harris examines what it means to be flawed yet unwaveringly devoted, inviting readers to reflect on the sacrifices we make for the people and principles that matter most. The result is a narrative that is as thought‑provoking as it is thrilling.

Building on that foundation, Harris expands the world of the Flaws Series with Book Two, A Leaf in the Clouds—a darker, more ambitious continuation that pushes his characters into deeper emotional and supernatural territory. The story raises the stakes with new mythic forces, heightened conflict, and revelations that challenge everything his characters thought they understood about loyalty, destiny, and themselves. A Leaf in the Clouds showcases Harris’s signature blend of cinematic action and emotional depth while broadening the series’ lore and intensity.

With his unique fusion of mythic atmosphere, emotional resonance, and cinematic action, Harris has quickly emerged as a rising voice in modern fantasy and supernatural thrillers. Readers continue to gravitate toward his work for its authenticity, momentum, and heart.
