ASHAY SHAKES

Ashay. C. Shakes, a symbol of steadfastness and perseverance was born in the blissful community of Battersea, St. Ann. Shakes grew up in Jamaica, where he faced the challenges of growing up in poverty. Despite the financial hardships, he attended Spalding High School and later enrolled at Knox Community College, where he studied Primary Education. His determination to overcome adversity fueled his passion for education and inspired him to pursue his dreams. After graduating, he worked at a pharmacy known as Care Plus, located in Manchester, before transitioning to full-time teaching.

Driven by his own experiences growing up in poverty, Shakes is deeply committed to inspiring young children facing similar circumstances. He believes that every child possesses unique skills and talents that can be harnessed to overcome adversity and achieve success. Additionally, Shakes has taken proactive steps to instill hope in these young individuals. Recognizing the challenges they face, he has dedicated himself to encouraging them to recognize their inherent potential and to believe in the possibility of a brighter future.
