Clay Escobedo Olsen

Clay grew up in rural Arizona. He worked on his father’s and uncle’s farms, which grew cotton, grains, and hay. His grandfather ran a small cattle ranch, and Clay and his dad helped there, too. Later, he worked in various engineering positions for Amdahl and Hewlett-Packard in California. He returned to rural Arizona in 2015 to assist his mom.

Clay studies philosophy with a particular focus on Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Hume, and the latter Wittgenstein. He also spends time on home remodeling, landscaping, full-spectrum and monochrome photography, microtonal music theory, and isomorphic keyboards. He is a lifelong shooter and handloader who works with various cartridges from the .22LR to the .50 BMG.
