Mary Bell Meyer

Mary Bell Meyer grew up in northern Ohio and attended Ohio University, majoring in English literature and creative writing. At OU she studied with Daniel Keyes, author of Flowers for Algernon. After graduating she worked in journalism and medical research in New York City and Baltimore.

After staying at home to raise her children, Mary returned to work at the Perrysburg Messenger Journal, eventually becoming editor of the community newspaper. She then worked as programming director at Way Public Library, retiring in 2013. She now lives in Nevada, below Lake Tahoe, where she leads a book group and, along with her husband Rich, coordinates and leads a weekly hiking group. Mary and Rich have three grown children who live on the East Coast.

At Last is her first novel.
