Mike Fletcher

As of 2024, Deacon Mike Fletcher and his wife Donna have been married for fifty years. They both grew up on farms in western Kansas and became high school sweethearts. They now have three children and six grandchildren.

Mike got his BSW degree from Kansas State University, and then later, an MDiv degree from Oral Roberts University. He was reared as an American Baptist, became a Catholic, and was later ordained as a deacon. In 2015, Deacon Mike, Donna, and Father Christoph Wertenbroch, their parish priest from Germany, hiked the last leg of the Camino to Santiago de Compostela in Spain together.

After a fulfilling international career in the transportation and logistics industry, Mike retired in 2016. He writes, preaches, and is active in a variety of outreach and faith-sharing ministries. His writings reflect life as a shared spiritual pilgrimage with God, one’s loved ones, friends, and those encountered each day. Helping those who are suffering from extreme hardship and/or oppression, especially in Latin America, continues to be important for his work..
