Janice Ball

Born in Singapore in August 1941, but grew up in Malaya from December of that year, Janice lived through the Japanese invasion of Malaya and the post-war anti-Communist Emergency jungle warfare followed by the Independence and prosperity of the country now known as Malaysia.

In 1978, upon her marriage to Phil, she settled in Berkshire which has become her home to this day. Together they had travelled frequently in Europe, especially in France.

Janice has published three books since her retirement in 2014, drawing her ideas, her conviction and storylines from her experience in two diverse parts of the world.

In Leafmeal Lies is her first novel published in 2019 and is the study of the life of Jacqueline and the 5 significant men in her life over 50 years.

The Colour Dilemma is her points of view concerning Racism and ethnic differences and problems in Britain today and the way forward. This is a controversial book to start you on your own journey towards understanding and living with Racism and your country's history.

As Perceived is a short book of poetry with accompanying paintings and photos by her. This is a book about love, aging, friendship, the fragility in relationships and above all hope.
