Joël Vinel

French author of poetry, short stories and novels.

Ever since he was a teenager, Joël Vinel has felt the need for the pleasure of reading and writing. His professional career as a computer engineer left him little time, so for a long time he confined himself to poetry and short stories, giving his texts only a confidential scope, outside the literary circles he had never rubbed shoulders with. At the end of his professional career, urged by his friends to finish one of his novels, he published the first volume of his trilogy "La somme de tous les êtres" in 2020, followed by the second volume in 2023, the year in which he published the collection of short stories Deimos. With the advent of social networking, the author regularly publishes poems online for his subscribers. The result was a collection of poetry, Perspectives, published in 2024, retracing two years of online poetry. Other works, emanating from the author's daily life or literary past, are still to come.
