I was born, kicking and screaming into a blended family of eleven kids. There were five older siblings, then a five-year gap before I entered this world. My mom always referred to me as "the oldest child of the second litter." She also spoke to me about a calling she sensed on my life to impact the world in positive ways. Turns out...mom was right.

Family - I have two grown children who are remarkable human beings. A son and daughter that I am so proud of! They have given me three grand daughters who fill my heart with joy. I have embraced three other kids by marriage to my sweet wife Donna. Her twin sons and daughter are making a difference in this world. Along with them come six more grand children; four boys and two girls. Nothing in this world is more important than my family

Passion- My passion is to see people reconnected to a vibrant, life-giving faith within the context of true biblical community. I am both deeply practical and intensely spiritual in my life-long quest to see people live in the freedom God offers us all.

For the past sixteen years, I have served the role of Missionary in Alaska as Executive Director for North of Hope, a non-profit I founded in 2010. North of Hope’s focus is to make an eternal difference in the lives of Alaska’s native people.

This work has been groundbreaking, demonstrating the profound simplicity of effective mission. It has informed the formation of a biblical ecclesiology which is much needed in these days of the precipitous decline of the western church in America.

I earned my Doctorate of Ministry in Transformational Leadership at Bakke Graduate University. My ministry experience includes twenty-one years in the roles of Youth Pastor and Pastor. As a denominational executive for thirteen years, I developed and deployed the finest field-based, mission-focused group of practitioners the denomination has ever seen.
