Jeffrey Glanz

Jeffrey Glanz is a Professor and Head of the M.Ed. program in Leadership and Management in Educational Systems at Michlalah Jerusalem College, Israel. He held the Silverstein Endowed Chair in Professional Ethics and Values and was a tenured professor of Education and Administration at the Azrieli Graduate School of Yeshiva University, New York. He was Dean of Graduate Studies and Chair of Education at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. He was Executive Assistant to the President at Kean University (New Jersey) and at Kean was named Graduate Teacher of the Year by the Student Graduate Association. He was also the recipient of the Presidential Award for Outstanding Scholarship. He was a teacher and school administrator in the New York City public schools for 20 years.

Prof. Glanz has authored, co-authored, edited, and co-edited twenty-six (26) books on various educational topics, including six books with Rowman & Littlefield Publishers: 1) Revisiting Dewey: Best Practices for Educating the Whole Child Today (2010, co-authored with Daniel Stuckart); 2) Action Research: An Educational Leader’s Guide to School Improvement (2014, author); 3) Supervision: New Perspectives in Theory and Practice (2015, co-edited with Sally Zepeda); 4) Crisis and Pandemic Leadership: Implications for Meeting the Needs of Students, Teachers, and Parents (2021, editor); 5) Managing Today's Schools: New Skills for School Leaders in the 21st Century.(2022, editor); and 6) this current book, Creating a Culture of Excellence: A School Leader's Guide to Best Practices in Teaching, Curriculum, Professional Development, Supervision, and Evaluation.
