VALENTINA GEBBIA

An artist who spans the various fields of the arts: literature, film, theater and music. Her official biographies say she was born on a desk and, as a child, began telling stories. She is a lawyer, but her criminal studies only served her to write detective stories that have social cues and humor as their main ingredient. As a journalist, she has collaborated with various newspapers including La Repubblica editorial office in Palermo, and edited the culture magazine Scirocco for years.

He has published twelve novels, civil commitment essays, plays and short stories in anthologies with prestigious Italian publishing houses, some of them prize-winners and finalists in literary competitions. His best-known novels are those dedicated to the Mangiaracina Family, an unlikely group of improvised detectives.

He has directed documentaries, feature films that have also won awards abroad, and the TV Series Mangiaracina Investigazioni aired on Prime Video based, precisely, on his books.
