William A. Haseltine

In his career at the forefront of medical research and application, Dr. William A. Haseltine has educated a generation of doctors and scientists at Harvard Medical School, designed the strategy to develop the first treatment for HIV/AIDS, is well-known for his groundbreaking work on cancer, AIDS, and genomics, and led the team that pioneered the development of new drugs based on information from the human genome. Dr. Haseltine is credited with coining "Regenerative Medicine" in 1999. He also spent time as a journalist in his early career and was among the first to break the "Agent Orange" story.
