About The Author

W.C. resides in Colorado with his family. He is a proud father, grandfather and a devoted husband. He is a musician and woodworker and enjoys spending his time creating new things.

As a child, his family would take trips around the United States visiting historical sites from Gettysburg to Dealey plaza and from Atlanta to Deadwood. These visits would be underscored with an emphasis on their historical significance.

As a pre-teen, his father would entertain him with fictionalized stories of the places they had visited based around the actual history.

“His stories were wildly entertaining and I remember them quite fondly, but more so they became an enticement to study history with relish and ignited the desire to create my own fiction centered on mankind’s most significant historical moments.”

The Lownsbury Chronicles is offered as a unique telling of, not only one of the most monumental stories in the history of mankind, but of a number of epic moments throughout man’s history.

In The Machine; First Strike we are introduced to our cast of characters; a trio of heroes led by our intrepid leader, Jack Sterling.

Sterling is a tough as nails Army Ranger that suffers from unexplainable visions of past events as well as periodic bouts of amnesia. He has always felt that these symptoms have held profound meanings, but the profundity has always been elusive as he conducts lifelong searches for answers to his past.

Professor Larimer Lownsbury - our stories namesake- is introduced as our opinionated and brilliant historian. As the mysteries of “The Machine” unfold, his ability to decipher the meanings behind the events, place them in logical order and to present a solution to our heroes’ dilemmas becomes increasingly paramount.

Will Masters; the youngest member of the trio is a computer hacker that wound up on the wrong side of the law. His sentence has been commuted with the help of Senator Schulte and, now beholden to the dubious Senator, must now perform the nearly impossible task of getting “The Machine” operational.

Senator Schulte is the team’s mysterious benefactor. Jack Sterling is certain he has met Schulte before and does not trust him, but the memories of his past are hazy at best. The Senator’s intentions remain suspicious and even as the team discovers the means of time travel with the use of “The Machine”, Senator Schulte’s objectives grow increasingly malevolent.

Samantha is as ruthless as she is beautiful. Her secret association with the Senator - as well as a mysterious past with Jack Sterling - places our team in jeopardy time and again. When the team becomes successful in making “The Machine” operational, they are relentlessly pursued through time by Samantha. With maniacal bloodthirsty goals of her own, she remains our team’s darkest adversary.

In “The Machine; Second Options”, Samantha becomes hell bent on finding a secret potion of historical legend that will enable her to realize her sadistically evil plans, Will Masters and Jack Sterling pursue their own dark demons while Professor Lownsbury searches for the answers of Samantha’s mysterious past. Our heroes attempt to stay one step ahead of the Senator as well but this task becomes far more daunting than any of them can imagine. Meanwhile, we become embroiled in the political underbelly of Ancient Egypt where a sinister plot is being drawn that will affect the entire world for centuries to come.

In “The Machine; Third Rule”, we learn more about where it all began. The meanings behind many of the truths we hold dear are revealed, leaving us with a hope for a brighter tomorrow. The characters in “Third Rule” are drawn together in surprising ways while coming full circle within a nick of time.

“The Lownsbury Chronicles” are a compilation of historical facts brought under a singular umbrella of storytelling. A number of fantastic events from Genesis and the Exodus, actual historical occurrences from Ancient Egypt to retelling a number of historical accounts surrounding Nazi, Germany, Jack the Ripper, Amelia Earhart, The Salem Witch Trials, and even the legend of “The Machine” itself. The occurrences in The Lownsbury Chronicles are based around genuine events, real biographical and archeological findings and actual people. Their history is brought alive under a possible new adaptation and meanings behind how mankind’s history and his most important societal events have unfolded.
