What are you doing today for the brain, body, and life you want tomorrow?
That question sits at the heart of Barb V’s work.
Barb is the Founder of The Fine~Tuned Life™, a Neuro-Movement and Nervous System Regulation Specialist, educator, curriculum specialist, behavioral expert, speaker, first responder, and lifelong athlete. She studies the connection among the brain, body, behavior, performance, and possibility ~ and turns complex science into practical tools people can use in everyday life.
Her work is shaped by a life of testing limits rather than simply accepting them. Her athletic story includes becoming a Division I record-setting javelin thrower, coming within 1.5 inches of qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Trials, and continuing today as an active powerlifter who trains, competes, and keeps asking what is possible next. As an educator and speaker, her work reaches people around the world across ages, abilities, professions, and stages of life.
Yet the common thread is always the human being.
How we think. How we move. How we respond under pressure. How we recover when something does not go as planned. How different brains learn and process the world. How we continue learning, adapting, connecting, and growing throughout a lifetime.
That thread connects Barb’s books Free To SOAR, Becoming A Fine~Tuned Athlete, and The JUGGLING Prescription™. Together, they explore belief, behavior, movement, nervous system regulation, performance, resilience, brain health, aging, and the extraordinary ability of the human system to change.
Her work speaks to far more than elite athletes. It reaches the child discovering new capabilities, the neurodivergent person learning to work with their brain rather than against it, the active person who wants to move and function better, the competitor pursuing another level, the executive navigating pressure, and older adults ~ including those in senior living and memory care ~ who deserve meaningful opportunities to keep moving, engaging, connecting, and being challenged. It also reaches the families who want to support the people they love across every stage of life.
Barb believes meaningful change does not always require doing more. Sometimes it begins with understanding ourselves differently, practicing with intention, and knowing what to do next.
She helps people discover what else is possible ~ and gives them practical ways to begin.
