Mariclaire Norton

I have been interested in writing fiction, especially fantasy short stories, since high school. I discovered the rich history of the pre-Christian Celts many years ago and have since spent much time researching their culture, along with that of the Norse of the same time periods. This led to the idea for Once and Future, and setting it in a fictional world where magic was real brought a whole new dimension to my writing.

I am a long-time fantasy fiction fan, and have been influenced by authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, and Morgan Llewelyn. You should be able to detect some of their influences in my writing.

This story has been long in the writing, with several iterations until this final product, Once and Future. I continue the adventures of Tara and several others in my upcoming series, Tales of Eirlandia.

The Master Lifenstone, the second of the series is currently scheduled for release in March 2026.
