Lora Chilton

Lora Chilton, an enrolled member of the Patawomeck Indian Tribe of Virginia, tells the story of her people in 1666: A Novel, a work of historical fiction published in April 2024 by Sibylline Press. Lora graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She has worked as a Registered Nurse, a small business owner, an elected official, a non-profit director and a writer. Lora has been published in online journals, blogs and newspapers including A Certain Age, Reading the Past, The Daily Memphian and The Unhealed Wound. Lora writes on a variety of subjects on Substack @lorachilton. 1666: A Novel is her second work of historical fiction.
