Daniel Mitsui

Daniel Mitsui is an artist specializing in minutely detailed ink drawing, religious iconography, lettering, and ornament. He desires to make art that is faithful to tradition yet strikingly original, and vigorously medieval in spirit.

Daniel is also a formal poet, with a particular interest in popular forms such as carols and ballads. He has authored and illustrated two collections of religious poetry: The Wretch on the Gallows Tree and The Gustable God.

He lives in Indiana with his wife and their four children.
