David Peabody

David Peabody is an American writer and former defense journalist whose career has taken him through war zones, foreign capitals, and the shifting landscapes of Southeast Asia. His work has spanned investigative reporting, magazine publishing, and long-form narrative nonfiction, but fiction remains his most personal frontier. Drawing on years spent in Southeast Asia, Peabody brings a lived authenticity to the people, places, and quiet truths that define The Three-Legged Dog and the One-Eyed Cat. He currently divides his time between Boston, Kampot, Cambodia and Da Nang, Vietnam continuing to write stories shaped by memory, movement, and the restless search for meaning.
