Hi there, as a 'day job' I work as a contract IT professional, having engaged with clients across the UK, Australia, India and the US in a freelance career spanning more than 20 years. To never stop learning is an adage which has served me well, evident in my 20+ IT certifications; CNCF CKA/ CKAD (& CKS pending), AWS, GCP, Spring, Sun, and IBM since 2001. I have developed a keen interest in distributed platform environments, notably Kubernetes, microservices, messaging & data streaming, hybrid systems integration and service mesh. An Australian based in Suffolk in the UK, I am an active hockey goalkeeper, sailor and motorcycle enthusiast, and like to travel whenever I can, having visited 33 countries at last count!
