Frank Coates

Frank Coates (a.k.a. Mister Boom Boom) is a Philadelphia-based children's musician, storyteller, author, YouTuber, and educator. Frank started his career in early education, serving as the Music Coordinator for the Please Touch Museum (The Children's Museum of Philadelphia). In 2010, Frank founded Music Play Patrol, a music enrichment program that brings the magic of music to schools, childcare centers, libraries, and summer camps. Frank shares his musical storytelling and drum shows in libraries nationwide. In 2020, Frank launched Mister Boom Boom's Music Room, an interactive music education web series that introduces children to the world of music through percussion, rhythm, and musical stories. Frank is a proud husband and father of two little ones.
