Always on a constant search for the underpinnings of a life, Simons writes
narratives full of rich character studies. Weaving them all into multiple
timelines gives each character the opportunity for transformation.
STONE BY STONE was begun when Simons lived in Flat Rock and Chimney Rock, North
Carolina. Because of her love of the area and her heartbreak over its
devastation from Hurricane Helene, Simons is donating her royalties to its
recovery, for however long it takes.
The common thread between A SECOND LOOK, LOSING AUGUST, and WEEDING OUT THE LIES
is the fictional town of Edgewater, Michigan, on the southern shore of Lake
Michigan.
Each novel offers a character driven narrative. Similar in writing style to Ann
Patchett, Fern Michaels and Nicholas Sparks.
