J. A. Bautista was born in Miranda (Venezuela) in 2000. He is a Venezuelan writer and translator, specialized in sacred texts of various religions. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from El Parquesito High School, and studied Theology at the Instituto Teológico Superior, in Aragua State, where he excelled in universal history, general geography, monotheistic religions and Oriental and Middle Eastern cultures. Since the age of 17, he has translated several sacred texts that were not in Spanish, as a form of study and personal use. His first published work was the translation of Megillat Bnei Chashmonai, a short book that narrates the rebellion of the Maccabees and the festival of Chanukah, with an introduction that concisely but accurately explains the historical and religious context of the work. Currently, he continues to work on his next translations for future publications. In addition, he has participated in numerous short story and micro-story contests, of diverse genres and themes, being among the finalists and selected entries, such as, for example, the Literary Diversity in Spain contest.
